More than just a mobile plant driver/operator test, the OCA is a comprehensive assessment of competence based on National Occupational Standards. We examine knowledge, skills, past training, experience, along with behaviours & attitudes. The OCA has three grades of achievement - pass, credit & distinction. The OCA is available for most of the common types of mobile plant deployed in the sector. The OCA is also available for Processing Operations (crushing/screening, concrete & asphalt production).
The SVCA is a detailed, holistic assessment of driver competence aimed specifically at drivers of site vehicles including Concrete Mixers and Tippers. It is an assessment of knowledge, operational skills, past training, experience, along with behaviours & attitudes, which are the 'other qualities' that contribute to competence.
